You might know her as the girl who clutters your Facebook feed with dog, baby and food videos, but to me she is the person I lived in a “haunted” dorm with Freshman year and shared a twin-sized bed with for several weeks because she was too scared to sleep alone.
Darian Bell, a Salisbury, NC native says her dream job is being a professional chef and having her own show on the Food Network (her newest obsession is “Giada at home”). She is actually majoring in Marketing so you most likely won’t see her as the next Food Network star, but she does make a mean chicken alfredo. She will be great at whatever she puts her mind to. (Maybe even being the next “Real Houswife”, who knows!)
The 19-year-old sophomore is a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority and the American Marketing Association. In between classes and meetings you can find her at Makotos,her favorite restaurant in Boone, listening to some Tori Kelly, binge watching reality TV, or leaving kind comments under people’s Instagram posts.
In her spare time she enjoys going to church with her boyfriend (yeah, sorry fellas she’s taken) and hanging out with her friends. Darian picks up every piece of trash she passes around campus and in the APH, I’d say she definitely deserves resident of the month!
The small campus and overall friendly environment is what brought Darian to App State. As much as she loves Boone and the people here, given the chance she would probably run off and join the Kardashian family without thinking twice. As glamorous a life that would be,she might miss being able to go home to visit her little brother and mom!
In 10 years she hopes to be beginning a family and soaking up the sun in Charleston, South Carolina with a successful marketing career under her belt.
In all honesty,she has one of the kindest and biggest hearts of anyone I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Inside she is just as, if not more, beautiful as she is on the outside. If you are lucky enough to know her you know that she is loyal beyond words, I would trust her with my life (but maybe I am a little biased).
