Valentine’s day is all about love. The love that you have for that special someone, the appreciation that you have for that special someone, and most of all how thankful you are that that special someone is in your life. So does that special someone necessarily have to be a boyfriend? Here in America, it is more typical to think of Valentines Day as a day to show love to your significant other. However, in other countries, Valentines Day has grown to be a holiday that also includes showing love to your best friends. In Latin American countries, Valentine’s day is often called “Dia del Amor y la amistad” (Day of love and friendship). So why not give a small gift to your best friend? Why not give them something that lets them know that you love them and appreciate them? Here are my top three best Galentine Gift Ideas.

The first perfect Galentine gift for your best friend on this list is the classic picture in a picture frame. In this day in age, we all know that everything is digital, especially our photos. We all also know that you and your bestie have that one favorite picture that brings back memories and totally summarizes your friendship. So how cool would it be to print out that picture and put it in a cute frame? Not only will your best friend appreciate the fact that this gift can literally be placed anywhere, but the cool thing about this gift is that every time your best friend looks at the picture, she will be reminded of you and the special friendship that you two share.

Another perfect Galentine for your best friend could be a small basket of a combination of things that your bestie loves. Go to Walmart and maybe get her favorite DVD? Why not throw in her favorite candy, lip gloss, nail polish, a cute coffee mug, or even get another book by her favorite author? If you know that she has a favorite fast food place that she loves to go to, get her a $10 gift card to that place. Other things to add might be common everyday items that she sometimes forgets to buy for herself. Things like hair ties, bobby pins, and nail files. The key to this gift is really customizing what you get to fit your best friend. Your bestie will appreciate the fact you remembered all of these tiny details about her.

If you really want to get sentimental, then writing a thank you note to your best friend will really do the trick! Some things that you could include would be how you met, why you are thankful for her, some of your inside jokes, your favorite memory together, how she makes your life better, how and why you couldn’t live without her, your first sleepover together, and how much you can’t wait to see where life takes your friendship.

In the end, no matter what you get your best friend she will absolutely love it. Not because of the fact that it’s a gift but because of the fact that, that gift came from you.
