7 Reasons to See Deadpool

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at App State chapter.

Deadpool is out, Collegiettes! And, there’s more hype than when 50 Shades of Grey was released last year.

If you don’t believe it, look anywhere on social media or Google “Deadpool.”

Why is it so good, you ask?

Ryan Reynolds was made for this role. Some say that he has known about this role, planning it, since 2004, when they knew they were going to make it into a movie. Maybe it was because he is a self-proclaimed fanboy. Maybe the directors just wanted him for the role. Maybe the “Deadpool” comic says he looks like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Shar Pei. Either way, it’ll be great.

So, here’s 7 reasons why you should get hype about Deadpool and see it as soon as you can.

1.Ryan Reynolds

He speaks for himself. And, who doesn’t like him?

Who’s not jealous of Blake Lively?

Then, there’s James. You know, his daughter. Check out his Instagram @vancityreynolds for literally any reason why he’s an amazing dad.

There’s so much more, but let’s move on.

2.Ryan Reynold’s butt

Just look at it. Enough said.

3.Ryan Reynold’s moves

*watches on repeat*

4.Ryan Reynold’s humor and wit

Such sarcasm. Much funny. So sass.

Not only is he smart, but he knows just what to say to make you laugh.

5.Ryan Reynold’s talking to *you*

If you’ve seen the hype or read anything about the movie, you know that it breaks the fourth dimension, as the comics do, which is how it should be.

According to Ryan himself, the movie is the most faithful adaption of the comic book to the movie ever. If you’re a comic book fan or just a book fan, that in itself should get you hype.

6.Stan Lee Cameo

This reason, unfortunately, does not have to do with Ryan, but who doesn’t love a good cameo, especially if it’s from the genius behind superhero comics, Stan Lee.

7.Romance

Not one of those girls who love Ryan Reynolds or funny guys? It’s okay. This is not only a comedy/superhero movie, but a romance as well. Yes you read that right. Romance.

What girl doesn’t like a good romance, especially on Valentine’s Day?

If the above reasons don’t get you hype for the movie, we don’t know what will. But, you still should go see it. Betty White even gave it two thumbs up.

Or, not. You could miss out on Ryan and see How to Be Single. We heard that’s going to be pretty good, too. In fact, we just gave away two free tickets to our Galentine’s/Valentine’s Instagram Photo contest winner, Taylor Ray, or better known as @letsgetrayzy.

Here’s to hoping you enjoy the new movies, collegiettes. Whatever you’re into, I’m sure there’s something for you or something you’ll love.
