Who? After much anticipation, last weekend at White-Out TAP, the Campus Activities Board announced that the headliner of this year’s Spring Concert is Icona Pop, with opener DJ Star Slinger. Icona Pop, a female duo from Sweden, has recently become famous with their summer hit “I Love It.” In 2013, they released their first album “This is…Icona Pop.” The opener, Star Slinger is a DJ from the UK. In 2010, he released an album entitled “Volume 1.”
What [kind of music]? Icona Pop produces upbeat music that is a mix of electronic and pop. Star Slinger mixes EDM and rap. Expect good beats…

What else is cool? The Campus Activities Board and Dean of Students negotiated $50,000 to get Icona Pop at Spring Concert… When he’s not a DJ, Star Slinger curates an international club named Jet Jam, in which they provide “eclectic dance music and overall emphasis on good vibes.”
