Meet The Her Campus Amherst Eboard Spring 2017

For this week’s Campus Profile, I decided to feature a group of people who make HC Amherst what it is….our e-board.  Get to know the HC Amherst E-board and figure out how you can become part of team at the end!

Campus Correspondent – Carina Corbin

Major:  Computer Science and Asian Languages & Civilizations

Favorite color:  Blue and purple

Last book you read:  Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Why did you join Her Campus?:  I always enjoyed writing and I saw the flyer in my first year dorm.  When I was promoted to CC, it taught me how to lead a team, how to communicate professionally, how to organize events and how to time manage.

Major: Statistics

Favorite color:  Pastels; gold

Why did you join Her Campus?:  Because Carina sucked me in ;)

Major: Spanish and prospective Interdisciplinary with Communications

Last movie you watched: Don’t Touch If You Ain’t Prayed

Why did you join Her Campus?: I stopped by the tabling in Keefe one afternoon, and I love that its mission work is centered around the empowerment and support of women, as well as the discussion of topics that are relevant to women.  I was excited that I was blessed enough to actually obtain a leadership role as a sophomore. I also enjoy that I currently hold a leadership position this year because it helps me to continue to be involved with Her Campus as much as I am. If I didn’t, I feel like I wouldn’t contribute as much.

Why did you join Her Campus?: I had a good friend who worked for Her Camus and I wanted the experience being a publicity manager.

Event Manager – Jen Chen

Why did you join Her Campus?: I enjoy the event manager position when I was a Her Campus Ambassador in high school.

Why did you join Her Campus?:  I remember reading the blog when I was first accepted to Amherst, and thought it gave me some insight into life on campus before my first year… Plus, free give aways!

Why did you join Her Campus?:  I had always seen the campus profiles and thought they were fun and cute. I was glad when the opportunity presented itself to work here.
