Last week two Tibetan Buddhist Monks from a monastery in upstate New York created a sand mandala in Frost library.  Sand mandalas are symbols of impermanence.  The monks dispose of the sand in a body of water once they have finished the mandala.  Impermanence is a pretty nice thing to be thinking about right now, in the middle of midterms!
