10 Productive Things To Do On Spring Break (GIFS!)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Amherst chapter.

Tip #1: Visit Old Friends—not only will you get great stories but you will keep a pal for a lifetime.

Tip # 2: Plan Your Summer Vacation! Ticket prices are much cheaper when you buy in advance. If you’re not already on your dream beach now, you will be in a few months.

Tip # 3: Apply for internships. You will have time to write applications without the hassle of school. Not to mention, your relaxed self probably writes a better paper than its stressed counterpart.

Tip#4: Exercise! The weather is getting warmer, run outside. You don’t want Spring Break to ruin your hot summer bod!

Tip #5: Try out a new restaurant or store or hair salon! So what if you’re stuck home for break? Get out there and make it a little more exciting. Plus, you could be helping local business.

Tip #6: Go to an event like a concert or a museum. If you go with friends, you’re going to have a blast. If you go alone, you might meet the one. It’s a win-win.

Tip #7: Apply for financial aid. If you haven’t done that already, you should probably pull out FAFSA and that CSS profile. The deadline is steadily approaching (at least if you go to Amherst)

Tip #8: Talk to your family! If you’re not with your family for break and especially if you are, talk with them. Trust me, they miss you much more than they let on. Besides, who doesn’t want to be the cool family member everyone looks forward to seeing?!

Tip #9: Look over your syllabus for the rest of the semester and plan accordingly. It’s easier to get a hold of everything if you know what’s coming.

Tip #10: All in all you should have fun! While you want to make sure that you don’t waste your break away…you also want time to remember the you that isn’t consuming eight cups of coffee but running on an hour of sleep…

Spring Break is supposed to rejuvenate you, so get there and live life! You deserve it!
