In South Florida, the lowest the temperature usually gets to possibly 50 or 60 degrees for a few weeks out of the year. At that time, Floridians get to pull out their sweaters and scarves and pretend that it is cold. Of course, these items are usually either thinner — as thin sweaters are sold for fashionable reasons- or from Goodwill- as the “snowbirds” bring their old winter clothes down and donate them. Either way, the season we call winter is a lot different from D.C.’s winter. Whether you’re from Florida or another tropical region, I have noticed that winter causes different reactions.
