1) A lot of interesting stuff happened this week! First up is Kerry Washington. She’s pregnant! She finally announced the news after it became quite clear that she had a bump during her rehearsals for last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Washington decided to announce the pregnancy before rumors could start. It has not been revealed if Washington’s character on her show Scandal will also be pregnant or if the show will just continue as normal. Washington is married to former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, they got married in secret this past June after dating for three years.
2) Hair today, gone tomorrow: The second noteworthy story of the week is about Jennifer Aniston and how she chopped almost all her hair off! She explained in an interview with ELLE UK that she had a Brazilian blowout done and her hair did not take well to it. She explained that the only way to fix her hair was to cut off all the damaged parts. Aniston is known for having long hair, especially for her “Rachel” haircut during her time on Friends in the 1990s. She said she’ll be growing it out again as she doesn’t like herself with short hair. So no need to worry.
3) Finally, in high fashion news: it was announced during fashion week in September that Marc Jacobs was leaving his job as creative director of Louis Vuitton after holding the post for 16 years. There was lots of talk about who would replace him and it was finally confirmed on Monday that Nicolas Ghesquiere would be taking over. Ghesquiere spent several years as the creative director of Balenciaga, another legendary French fashion house. Ghesquiere abruptly left Balenciaga without explanation last spring and the house was taken over by Chinese-American designer Alexander Wang.
