Super Bowl XLVIII Recap

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

Didn’t tune in to the Super Bowl this year? Don’t worry! Her Campus has you covered on everything you missed.

The Denver Broncos took on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium Sunday, February 2 for the biggest blow out game in two decades.

The Seahawks beat the Broncos 43-8 in the most-watched U.S. TV telecast of all time ranking in an astonishing 111.5 million views.

The game started with Renée Fleming, a Grammy award winning professional opera singer, brilliantly sang the National Anthem.

Following Renée was football legend Joe Namath and his intense fur coat almost messing up the coin toss.

Of course everyone flocked to the internet to comment on his coat:

His coat even has it’s own twitter:

Regardless, Joe proved he still has style since his days as a coach:

The game started out with a bad snap by the Broncos that led to a safety for the Seahawks:

Everything only went down hill for the Broncos from there with Peyton Manning, the Broncos quarterback, throwing two interceptions:

Seattle just kept scoring,

and scoring,

and scoring.

The halftime show was headlined by Bruno Mars featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Bruno did everything! From playing the drums,

to showing off his sick dance moves,

and of course his amazing voice, Bruno rocked.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers also killed it.
