As a college student who is totally into fashion, I completely understand the struggle of having a limited supply of spending money, and whether to spend that on expanding my wardrobe or going out with my friends. Add the fact that we live in DC, where the stores are tailored to those who can afford the big brands such as Michael Kors, Vineyard Vines, and J. Crew, it’s even more difficult. Luckily, there are a ton of websites that allow us to have the best of both worlds. We all know a ton of typical stores where you can find great trends at low prices, but sometimes it’s nice to have fresh options. Here’s a list where you can find a new dress to wear on the weekend AND have enough money left over to get that delicious burrito from Chipotle.

This is my personal favorite. It is such a fantastic website. It’s not a place where we can find our favorite brand names with great discounts, but they have an unbelievable collection of clothing and accessories, especially dresses. And really, I believe nowadays girls are more into the way something looks than the name on the tag, anyway. Here, you can find fantastic dresses for sometimes as low as $9, and many dresses that would be priced at $50 or more elsewhere will be much lower here. Even better perk? Free shipping on anything. And that’s not all. First order is 30% off of everything. Yes, you read that correctly. It is worth checking out, but make sure you have a lot of time on your hands once you start, because you’ll be hooked.
Tobi
Now, with Tobi, the prices aren’t always cheap. Sometimes, you find cardigans that run as high as $90. But, the great thing about Tobi is that a lot of their clothes run at fairly good prices, there’s free shipping, and they always have sales. For your first purchase, you get 50% off your entire order. Throughout the year, they have sales that run as much as 40-50% off. And when items are individually priced, you find shirts that are as low as $6. So, even though the prices aren’t always normally super low, there are enough sales during the year so that you can score.
HauteLook
Haute Look is one of those discount websites where you can find your typical favorite brands at great prices. Some of the fantastic brands featured are Toms, Sperry Top-Sider, American Apparel, and Free People, among many others. Discounts can run at up to 75% off products, with many of the products being in the 40-60% off range. Plus, each day, they update with a slew of new brands and collections to choose from, with the typical sales lasting around a week. You have to make an account to start out, but after signing up, you’ll be notified of the daily deals, and you have every opportunity to take advantage of them!
Sammy Dress
Sammy Dress is another site kind of like SheInside, where they carry a wide array of dresses and other clothing that is extremely cheap. Better yet, they tell you in the top right hand corner of every photo of every item how much you’re saving. And don’t lie, we all feel a little better when we buy something on sale and know exactly how much money we saved (especially so that we can put that money towards something else we want to buy.)
