American University is home to thousands of undergraduates, all striving for success, and many of them young women. We all know a woman at AU who exemplifies everything a female role model should be – driven, hardworking, ambitious, compassionate, kind. Her Campus American wants you to think about this woman you know, and nominate her to be one of our Women of the Year.
HCAU is proud to announce our second annual Women of the Year Awards, in which we honor one woman from each school (SPA, SIS, SOC, Kogod, and CAS) who is nominated by a member of the AU community. We want to make the effort to highlight the women who are making a difference in our community, and who will go on to impact the world. Last year, we honored Deborah Carey (SIS ‘17), Samantha Kenny (CAS ‘16), Madeline Turrini (SOC ‘15), Chante Harris (SPA ‘15), and Olivia Montague (Kogod ‘15).
Nomination Process:

Students must be undergraduates at American University

Students will nominate themselves, or be nominated by a member of the AU community who can speak on their behalf

One winner will be chosen from each of the five undergraduate schools on campus

Recipients will be selected by Her Campus American Executive Board and AU administrators
