Hair Mask

Winter can do some serious damage on your hair. In order to keep those sun-kissed beachy waves looking their best, you need to give your hair a little more attention in the cold, dry, winter months. A hair mask will provide you hair with extra moisture and protection it needs, as well as reduced frizz and extra shine. I personally recommend Alterna Bamboo Smooth Moisture Masque. It works wonders on split ends and smells great.

Lip Scrub and Treatment

Winter wind and New Year’s kisses can be hard on the lips. While chapstick and lip balm are a winter necessity, sometimes your lips may need a little more love. Lip scrub is exfoliation for your lips. Treat your chapped and flakey lips by gently removing the top layer. However, after using a lip scrub it is essential that you moisturize your fresh lips with some hydration therapy. My absolute favorite is Fresh’s Sugar line. The Sugar Baby gift set comes with lip scrub and incredible tinted lip balms that protect your lips, gives you some color, and leaves them moisturized for up to six hours!

Daily Facial Moisturizer

The transition from cold winter air to the dry heat inside sucks the moisture out of your skin. A daily facial moisturizer is a must. Windburn and excess indoor heat can cause rosacea and dry spots. Face lotion is the only way to get the hydration back and soothe sensitive skin while reducing blotchiness. Take the AU Shuttle to CVS and pick yourself up some Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 30. A favorite face lotion of mine that actually works and doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy.

Hand Cream with Argan Oil

Argan Oil is this year’s beauty product miracle that in my opinion, actually deserves the praise. Argan oil is a plant oil that is produced from the kernels of the argan tree, a tree that is indigenous to Morocco. In cosmetics it is renowned for its deep moisturizing properties. Hand cream is not an option, but a requirement for the winter. Your hands are constantly exposed to the elements and need some extra TLC in the winter. Hand cream in your bedroom, backpack, and bathroom are vital! I just recently discovered Tree Hut beauty products, and have become a loyal customer. Try their Moroccan Rose Renewing Hand Cream and you will successfully ward off winter’s damaging effects.
