Maegan Weinhold ’19

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

Meet Maegan! Maegan’s spunky and spirited personality makes her character one of a kind.

Name: Maegan Weinhold

Year: Freshman

Majors: Public Relations & Strategic Communicaitons

Minors: Marketing and Philosophy

Hobbies: Hiking, playing guitar and piano, exploring the city, and DRINKING COFFEE! I also enjoy taking advantage of Club Lib’s 24-hour weekday access and occasionally gettting kicked out on 9 p.m. on Saturday’s when it closes.

Campus involvement: Delta Gamma, Treble in Paradise, PRSSA, Math Club and intramural basketball

On Treble: Treble was the first organization I joined on campus and from the very start I knew those ladies were my people. To be able to make music every week with people who are as beautiful as their voices are is something I cherish.

On Delta Gamma: I’m thrilled to be a new member of Delta Gamma–the women I have met in this organization are loyal, hardworking and genuine. I am confident they will continue to inspire me to strive for the highest level of achievement in all I do.

Favorite spot on campus: Battelle Atrium

Favorite artist: Sara Bareilles

Why I chose AU: I chose to attend American University because of the environment it provides, both internally and externally. The student body here is exceptionally driven and ambition, and the city of Washington D.C. has so much to offer socially and professionally!

Fun fact: I sang the National Anthem and a USA v. Ireland field hockey game and it was broadcast on ESPN, Comcast and was shown internationally!
