Hello Collegiettes!
Last month designers and fashion addicts braved the snow in New York for the sake of all things fashion to witness the wears and trends for Fall 2014.  Designers showcasing their collections included oversized furs, high-heeled booties and gobs of leather.   According to fashion goddess Rachel Zoe, Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu and Ralph Lauren, to name a few,  “all shut it down!”  My fave top three trends seen on the runway for fall are fur, menswear inspired suits and pastels.
Fur-Put your black and brown furs in storage, ladies! It’s all about color and pattern for the Fall 2014 season. Designers including DVF, J Crew and Ralph Lauren warmly embraced the crazy fur trend.Â
Menswear Inspired Suits-Fitted blazers and slim fit pants are a trend of the past. For Fall 2014 it’s all about oversized menswear inspired looks. Think baggy blazers and loosely worn wide legged pants. Designers Zimmerman and Jason Wu nailed it!
Pastels-Pastels for fall? Crazy I know but designers Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren muted down the classic pastel colors like robin’s egg blue and violet and made them more suitable for the fall season.
Be sure to start cleaning out your closet to make room for fall trends though I wouldn’t mind defrosting a bit from this rotten winter before I need to start wearing warm clothing again!
