Calling all lovers of news, politics, comedy, and fierceness – the American University Kennedy Political Union is bringing Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams to campus!
On Thursday, Sept. 10 at 8:15, comedian Jessica Williams will be speaking in Bender Arena in an event available to only AU students, faculty, and press. AU students and faculty can attend free of charge with university ID’s and an Eventbrite ticket. There will be 100 tickets available for student +1’s via Eventbrite, for $10 in advance and $15 the week before.
Williams became The Daily Show’s youngest correspondent ever in 2012. She began her career as a writer/performer at Upright Citizens Brigade, an improv and sketch comedy group. Her segments on The Daily Show have frequently gone viral, as she tackles a wide range of issues in the news. She was recently featured on Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” and will have a recurring role in the third season of Girls on HBO.
Williams will deliver opening remarks alongside news clips from The Daily Show, and answer follow up questions from the audience.
