Her Campus AU teamed up with Spoon AU last Friday, November 11th, to put on a fall festival on the quad! It was a glorious, sunshiny day. Spoon AU brought the food, and we brought the photobooth and games. Students came for the delicious treats and stayed for the games and photobooth shenanigans.
“It was a hit. People rushed to the food and in 20 minutes it was all gone. Fall Fest proved to be a great way for people to end a hectic week in a positive way, with good music, good food, good games, and great company,” Spoon members Jennifer Kennedy, Emilie Carinha, and Hanna Lundgren commented.
The free food was brought to us courtesy of Wild Ophelia (delicious chocolate – I had the dark chocolate with sea salt & almonds), Buredo (vegetarian options were available too!), and Broodjes Bier (ya know, those bougie sandwiches from the Dav). You already know that the food went in a snap; we barely blinked and it was gone. AU, ya’ll are hungry!
“It turned out great because free food is always good, and people really needed the happiness of food and games this week,” Faith Branch, Spoon member, said.
The fun continued in the photobooth, which included funny props, and we musn’t forget about our three legged race and corn hole games!
