For the past 12 years, The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been one of the top daytime talkshows. Whether it’s her jokes, her dancing or her dressing up, and even scaring her guests, Ellen DeGeneres has always found a way to get us to laugh. The show recently had its 2,000th episode; that’s a lot of Ellen. Although each episode is funny in its own way since 2003, here are some of Ellen’s best moments and guests on her show throughout the past 12 years.
When she dressed as Madonna.
Before Lady Gaga’s crazy outfits, there was Madonna’s. Still, at 57, Madonna has a quirky fashion sense. Since Ellen also has a quirky personality, she combined both as she came out on her show dressed as Madonna while she was a guest on the show. Along dressing as Madonna, Ellen has been seen on her show dressed as Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj. Not only has she cracked us up with her jokes on that celebrity, but how she dresses as them as well.
When Kai is her musical guest.
Ellen has always had a love for cute little kids, who doesn’t though? Especially if they sing some of our favorite songs. For the past few seasons, 7-year-old Kai has been on Ellen to cover Bruno Mars with his own twist: of being too adorable while forgetting the lyrics. Along with forgetting lyrics, he tends to sing out of pitch as most little kids do. Ellen always does a good job of not laughing out loud while we do from our TV’s.
When Justin Bieber graduated from high school on the show.
As most of us know, Justin Bieber has always been a favorite guest on Ellen. From first appearing with his mom to his week long appearence for his recent album, Justin has become an allumni of Ellen’s guests. Did you know though that he got his high school diploma from Ellen? After completing his schooling on the road, the Biebs was done with school. As congratulations, Ellen graduated him on her show with hats and a diploma. Wouldn’t it be great if we all graduated from high school by Ellen?
Doing push-ups with Michelle Obama.
Many of us love Michelle Obama’s TV appearences. She does mom dances with Jimmy Fallon and push ups with Ellen. She has been a big promoter of excercising and eating healthy and she showed off her muscles on Ellen. Since Ellen loves participating in activities with her guests, she even wanted to do push ups with Michelle. No one ever likes push ups so whenever you gotta do some in your workout, watch Ellen and the first lady do them to motivate you.
Dancing to Gangnam Style with PSY and Britney Spears.
Remember the Gangnam Style dance before the whip and nae-nae? The pop-dance song by Korean artist PSY was the whip and nae-nae of 2012-2013. Whenever these dances are popular, stars are always caught on camera pulling those moves. While a guest on the show, Britney Spears and Ellen were taught the dance by PSY himself. Not only do we love to show off our best popular dance moves, so do stars like Ellen as well.
