Maggie McCarthy is a SIS junior at American University from Norwell, Massachusetts.

Maggie McCarthy: Outgoing, funny and humble.

HC AU: What are you involved in on campus and in the D.C. community?

MM: Alpha Xi Delta, AU Gospel Choir and Community Based Research Scholars. 

HC AU: What is your favorite thing about AU?

MM: Getting to spend time with friends- quadding or in the ampitheater.

HC AU: What’s your favorite neighborhood, area or place in D.C.?

MM: Adams Morgan, especially Tryst or at the Jefferson Memorial sitting by the water.

MM: A rice, chicken, falafel, and veggie bowl from Cava.

HC AU: What, if anything, are you most interested in that people haven’t heard of?

MM: Digital communication in different cultures.

MM: To visit all Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. 

HC AU: If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with your extra time?

MM: Traveling or backpacking around the world.
