Adventures To Take In & Around D.C

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

As the February is coming to an end (hopefully the snow too!), it is time to begin to explore the DC/Maryland/ Virginia (DMV) area! There is so much to see and try in this beautiful place.

1. ICE SKATING

While it is still a little chilly, go ice-skating at the Georgetown waterfront. The price for $10 for adults!

2. HIKING

Take A Hike!  Great Falls Park in McLean, VA tends to be the “hot spot” for AU students. It’s a great trail, with small waterfalls, some rope swings and lots of rocks!

 3. RUNNING/BIKING

Go for a run or a bike ride on one of DC’s many trails. The trails run through Georgetown, Bethesda and many other beautiful scenic places! If you want to bike, but don’t have one, do not worry! You can rent a capital shares bike for a couple of dollars an hour. That is most certainly enough time to explore DC!

4. EAT/DRINK/SHOP

If eating ethnic food, shopping for jewelry and wine tasting seems of interest to you, then go explore Eastern Market. It is “D.C’s Original and Premier Food & Arts Market”.
