5 Things We Hope To See In The Gilmore Girls Revival

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

Ever since we watched Rory head off to her new job as a reporter at the end of Season 7, we’ve been dying to have our questions answered about where all our favorite Stars Hollow characters are now. Thankfully, Netflix recently announced that four new, 90 minute episodes of Gilmore Girls will be released, with the original cast and original creater, Amy Sherman-Palladino.

After a long eight years of waiting, here are five things we can’t wait to see in the new episodes.

1. Rory living her journalist dreams

Last we saw Rory, she was leaving Stars Hollow (sniff) to go work on President Obama’s campaign. Eight years later, we can’t wait to see what amazing accomplishments Rory’s working on next.

2. Luke and Lorelai married

Nothing else to say here.

3. Kirk finding true love

In addition to being our #singlelife spirit animal, we’ve always had a soft spot for Kirk. And everyone deserves true love right?

4. Emily Gilmore

Sadly, actor Edward Herrmann who played Richard Gilmore passed away last year. We’re definitely going to miss Richard Gilmore, but we’re hoping that Emily will still have some screen time. We can’t wait to see what she’s up to; maybe a new maid?

5. Lane and Zach as parents

We can’t wait to see how Lane and Zach are handling twin, 8-year-old boys. Maybe they’re getting some help from Mrs. Kim?

As of right now, an offiical release date has not been set, but keep an eye out! We’ll be on the edge of our seats.
