It’s that time of year again…Valentine’s Day. All of your friends are asking you what your plans for the big day are. And whether you’re single or in a loving relationship, it stirs that little panic in your chest as you realize you haven’t really made plans yet. Reservations are becoming scarce, and now that you think of it, you haven’t even discussed your plans with your significant other. But don’t worry, Her Campus AU compiled a list of things that will make your Valentine’s night one to remember, all within the comfort of your own room!
1. Have a movie night! This may seem like something you do every weekend, but make it special! Pop some popcorn, turn the lights down, and get your favorite sweets to share with your sweety! What could say I love you more than cuddling to your favorite horror movie?
2. Dress up. You have that new dress anyway and just because you aren’t going out doesn’t mean you can’t show it off to the one you love most.
3. Dress it down. Wear your favorite pj’s (or whatever you sleep in…) and enjoy the comforts of home. Just think about all of those couples whom you don’t have to elbow in the face for the last table at that overpriced restaurant.
4. Make your own fancy meal. You knew exactly what you were going to order, so why not make it yourself? It’s a great way to bond with someone special and pick up a few new recipes for your repertoire.
5. Camp inside! Don’t have a tent? Make one with some blankets and carefully placed pillows! Here are some tips for that. You could even make s’mores in the oven.
And the best part of all of these ideas is that they can be done with your boyfriend, girlfriend or best friend. Enjoy your fun and unique night in on Valentine’s Day!
