Sometimes, your friend needs a bit of a pick-me-up. And what’s better than getting an email that you have a surprise package?! When you want to help out your friend but they’re hundreds of miles away, here’s some fun things you can send them that I guarantee will make their day.
Insomnia Cookies

Subscription Box
For a more long term gift, consider signing your friend up for a subscription box! One of my family members got me a Cratejoy subscription as a graduation gift, and I got a “party-in-a-box” set sent to me. It included plates, napkins, confetti, and stationary sets. However, there are subscription boxes for really anything; this site has boxes for loads of different themes, so anything you want to send, they probably have.
Homemade Gift Package
If you have a lot of time on your hands, you can make them their own personal gift box with some of the things they love. Craft stores usually sell cheap boxes that you can fill up with all sorts of candy, fuzzy socks, face masks, and more. Once you’re done, bring it to the UPS Store, put it in a box and send it on its way. You can also just use a normal package box and just decorate that. These may take a bit, but they are most definitely worth the wait.
Venmo Message
Something that you can do for your friend immediately is send them a little money through Venmo with a sweet message. Although it’s something little, it can do a lot to brighten someone’s day knowing that you are thinking about them. Write to them to buy their favorite drink or to simply get something that makes them happy. A little can go a long way.
