Leslie Knope of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” knows a few things about getting work done, but also having a great time doing it. Unfortunately for us, our finals and research papers are anything but fun tasks. Here are some ways we think Leslie’s spirit could get us through this horrible process.
When you first sit down at your computer, focused and unstoppable.
Then you read the prompt.
And you read it a second time.
When you try to see the bright side of the situation.
When you suddenly realize you have an amazing idea! And two seconds later realize it’s a terrible idea.
When you realize it’s been four hours and you have nothing written down.
Then, at long last, you think of something brilliant to write about.
And when you finally finish and submit your paper.
