Donté Colley is a 21-year-old Canadian Instagram superstar dancer and positive vibe connoisseur—and he is giving out motivation on the daily like Oprah giving out cars. Donté gets millions of views on his Instagram videos featuring himself dancing away any of his doubts—and probably yours too (seriously I bet you can’t help smiling while watching him literally booty bump negativity right off the Insta frame).
After getting comments from friends saying things like “this video made me smile today,” Donté was motivated to make more. He had felt like social media had become a sort of demeaning, rather than uplifting place, so he started sharing his emoji-filled dance routines regularly.“I guess I make these videos to make people feel good,” he told Buzzfeed.
Donté says he puts on whatever song he is feeling in the moment and records himself doing “three different ways of movement.” He will then make three drafts, the third being the final, and add whatever message he feels like the video displays.
