Solutions For Your Closet Dilemma

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Alabama chapter.

It’s Friday night and you want to go out to celebrate the end of a stressful week. It’s Monday morning and you have an important meeting in an hour. It’s Wednesday afternoon and you are scheduled for dinner tonight with the boyfriend’s parents. What happens next in these scenarios?
If you’re anything like me, there’s lots of scrambling and laments of “I have no idea what to wear!” Between school, work, volunteering, and the countless other activities typical collegiettes
are involved in, it can be difficult to find time for shopping. There are definite ways to scrounge for outfit options, but there are only so many times you can raid your roommate’s closet (even living in a sorority house with 48 girls like I do!). Plus, you know Facebook always records your outfit repeat offenses. What’s a busy collegiette to do?

The answer is simple: online shopping. There are tons of retail websites out there, but a handful of them go above and beyond the call of fashion duty.

These sites offer top fashion looks at heavily discounted prices:

Most of these websites offer an array of products including all types of clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods, and menswear that rotate once to several times a week. Some even offer discounts on travel and hotel accommodations.

You can sign up for daily emails detailing what products and lines these sites are featuring. If you’re worried about these emails clogging up your crimson account to the point you might miss some important messages in the ensuing mix, set up an alternative email (such as a Gmail account) to use only for these sites. Just submit the other address and log on when you want to shop.

In addition to the already reduced prices, these sites also have clearance sales. Sundays are top days for these extra special prices, including Haute Look’s Sunday Night Blowouts, Rue La La’s Styleathons, Ideeli’s Red Line clearance days. Rue La La also has a program called The Rue 30. You pay a one-time fee of $9.95 and receive free shipping for 30 days. You can also get discounts by inviting your friends to join.

These websites make it easy to stock your closet on a busy schedule, all while not breaking your budget. Hope this helps you never worry about what to wear again!
