First off, let me establish what an amazing movie this is. You will laugh, smile, cry, and scream in this movie. It is a wonderful emotional ride.
“A Star is Born” is on its fourth remake, with actresses such as Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand also taking on the leading female role. It is a beautiful love story of a singer Jackson Maine, played by Bradley Cooper, who is past his heyday and an upcoming talented female Ally, played by Lady Gaga.
This movie follows the two on their singing careers’ and is able to find the sweet spot between a real relationship and the idealized one Hollywood loves to promote. The chemistry between Gaga and Cooper is one of the best I have seen. At no point do you question the passion either one has for their work or one another. It is truly a love story for the ages.
And if the phenomenal acting isn’t enough then the music is amazing! While we have all come to know a love the work of Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper as shows off his vocal skills with a voice that reminds one of Willie Nelson. Yes! That is him actually singing; Cooper spent time training with a vocal coach. I mean when you partner is Lady Gaga there is a lot to live up to.
At the end of the day, this a movie for anyone. (there are even some Rupal moments in it). Take your friend, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, or that person you sit next to in chemistry. Everyone needs to see this movie!
