Happy first full week of October! If you’re anything like me, you’ve been waiting all year for this month to roll around, and even though it looks a little different this year, you still want to celebrate with some good old-fashioned “spooky szn” fun. So, grab your roommates, a friend or two or even your pet and have a cozy fall girls’ night in with a few of my favorite ideas:

Probably the most crucial step of a classic girls’ night in involves throwing on your favorite pajama set. To make it super festive, check out places like Target, Walmart and TJMaxx to find tons of options for cute but cheap fall and Halloween pajamas. You can even grab a couple matching sets for you and the gals for an adorable GNI photoshoot.

Snacks, snacks and more snacks. Personally, this is my favorite part of a girls’ night in. If you’re feeling especially hungry, order in a pizza or make an elaborate, insta-worthy charcuterie board. If you just want a little something to munch on, opt for a classic like popcorn and pop some of those delicious Pillsbury pumpkin cookies in the oven.

Now it’s time for the entertainment of the night. One of the best ways to get into the cozy October spirit is watching festive movies and shows. My roommates and I recently had a marathon of all four Halloweentown movies, and let me say: It was hard not to feel in the Halloween spirit after that! If you’re more of a TV show connoisseur, here is a list of some iconic Halloween TV episodes. Complement your festive viewing party with those snacks you prepared earlier and even a board game or two for maximum fun.

Now that you’ve got your comfy clothes, yummy snacks and festive entertainment lined up, you are ready to have a GNI that will make this October one to remember.
