With fall officially here, autumnal dates are upon us. However, these date ideas aren’t just applicable to trips with your significant other; these ideas are perfect for a group of friends as well. So, gather your loved ones, and celebrate fall with these activities.

Go To a Pumpkin Patch

Though it may be basic, it will always be fun. Dress up with your gand take some cute pictures at a pumpkin patch. There are lots of other activities at pumpkin patches too, so carve out a few hours and just enjoy making wholesome memories together. Going to a pumpkin patch can also provide the resources for a more private date – all you have to do is buy a pumpkin and take it home.

If you’re in Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area, here are a couple of patches to check out:

– Tuscaloosa Barnyard

– Helena Hollows

– Griffin Farms

Carve pumpkins

Once you picked out your perfect pumpkin, it’s time make a date night out of carving it! Carving pumpkins is so much fun, because you can be as creative as you want. Carve a simple face, complex picture, or even your favorite logo. If you aren’t great at carving pumpkins, you can still paint them, and they will look just as fun and festive!

Here are some ideas to paint or carve:

– Your favorite sports team

– Your favorite animal

– A spooky face

– A cute print or pattern

haunted house

Though I don’t personally enjoy haunted houses, lots of people love the spooky experience. This activity is a great way to book up a free night in a festive way. From waiting in line to screaming with strangers inside, there are so many memories you can gain from the experience. I don’t like being scared, and even I have some fun memories from the experience.

If you are looking for Haunted Houses near Birmingham, here are my suggestions:

– Atrox

– Warehouse 31

– The Horror Tuscaloosa

movie marathon

Watching Halloween movies is a Gen-Z cultural favorite, because it can perfectly encapsulate the spookiness of the season. Fall is the best time to watch Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town, and any other staple scary movies. It’s getting cold outside… why not cuddle up in a blanket and immerse yourself in some of your favorite movies?

My favorite Halloween movies are all Disney Channel Originals, but if you’re into the classics, here is a list of some highly-acclaimed watches:

– The Harry Potter Series

– Insidious

– Scream

– Halloween

dessert baking

Dessert is a great way to ring in the season. You can experiment with making lots of different types of pies, cookies, loaves, or anything else your mind bakes up. TikTok and Pinterest are the best places to look recipes, but if you need some ideas for what to make, these are my favorite fall treats:

– Caramel apples

– Pumpkin spice cupcakes

– Apple fritters

– Pumpkin brownies

buy all the pumpkin spiced

The fall season means pumpkin spice themed everything – a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, pumpkin spice oreos, and even pumpkin spice scented cleaning supplies. If you can think of it, it’s probably a thing. Just go to the store and buy whatever pumpkin spiced product fits your fall fancy, go home, and get to trying them out (bonus points if you film a Tik Tok review about it!) These are my recommendations for the best pumpkin spice goodies to try:

– Pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls

– Pumpkin spice Oreos

– Pumpkin spice cream cheese

– Pumpkin spice coffee creamer

Fall is one of the best time for dates and a pleasant climate for almost all activities. There are so many dates that you can do outside of what I outlined in this article, but these are the some of my favorite seasonal traditions. So, grab your significant other (or your friends) and get started on that good old-fashioned fall fun!
