Christmas season is finally here! I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely in need of some holiday spirit right now, especially with dead week and finals creeping up. Today, I’m going to share five of my all-time favorite Christmas songs to spruce up your Christmas playlist just in time for us to hit the road and go home for winter break.
“Cold December Night” by Michael Bublé
Michael Bublé hit the ball out of the park with this unforgettable original track that gives us that warm and fuzzy feeling about the holidays and spending time with that one special person. As the only original track on the album, Bublé mixes the spirit of the holiday with those classic love song lyrics.
“All I Want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan” by Kenny Chesney
Kenny Chesney brings the tropics to the tinsel in this catchy Christmas tune. Chesney’s entire album gives you those island vibes, but this song sets itself apart, shining a light on how to make the Caribbean full of Christmas. Whether through coconut trees or the rhythm of the ocean, Chesney reminds us that we can make the holidays special, especially on the beach.
“Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson
This upbeat tune gives us the power and energy of a Kelly Clarkson chart topper while also being the perfect soundtrack to your favorite holiday tradition. Whether you’re baking cookies, decorating the tree, or even ice-skating with someone special, this song is bound to get you dancing like you’re rocking around a Christmas tree.
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Pentatonix
The Pentatonix Christmas albums are essential to a great holiday season, and this song is an essential to have on your playlist. This acapella tune combines Pitch Perfect and Christmas tunes to put a great spin on this beloved favorite.
“All I Want for Christmas is You” by Michael Bublé
While Mariah Carey put this holiday classic on the charts, Michael Bublé’s version is one for the books. This slowed down version brings out all the feels, adding a new depth and another way to love this amazing song. The OG might be the fan favorite, but this rendition is so underrated.
