With summer winding down and classes just around the corner, it’s important to be prepared for the busy semester ahead of us. And how better to do that then a back to school shopping haul. Look good, feel good, do good. Here is a list of back to school essentials that I have adopted over the past few years!

The Right Bag

This is a must have so that you can carry all of your books. I like to stick with the solid black, navy, or grey colors so that it can match everything. I also look for a big side pocket for my water bottle or coffee mug. It’s a beneficial bonus to have a laptop pocket inside as well.

Water bottle/Travel Mug

This is just as important to me as the bag. I drink A LOT of coffee and water, so having a cute water bottle and travel mug to keep with me at all times is important. I use a Hydroflask for my water bottle and reusable starbucks hot and cold bottles for my coffee. Saving the planet and looking good while doing it!

The Look

Another really important thing to remember when getting ready for classes is your look. Being in college allows you to be someone completely different than what your highschool self. This is your chance to recreate yourself and adopt a brand that fits you. This is really easy to do by thrifting or going to consignment stores such as Plato’s Closet. Make sure you are comfortable and like the way you look. Confidence is the sexiest thing someone can wear, so wear it loud and proud!

The Planner

If you’re anything like me, then you LOVE planners. It is my addiction, so finding a good one is imperative to me having a good year. I have to write EVERYTHING down, otherwise I forget, so having a medium to big sized planner is my go to. I love cute covers that give you the ability to customize and doodle. I also love stickers, bright colors, and being able to label things on a monthly and weekly view.

Self-Care Products

Last but definitely not least: face masks, bubble baths, candles, candy etc. Anything that will motivate the self love you need and deserve! The semester is going to be busy and you are going to need to take a break and show yourself some love. Don’t forget to take time out of your busy life to pay attention to you.
