Spooky season is upon us and we all know what that means: haunted houses, pumpkin everything, and American Horror Story. On September 12, American Horror Story season 8 premiered. If you are as big of a fan as I am, then you know that this season has been the most anticipated thus far. Producers and the cast have been dropping hints about what is to come for months now and this is all that I was able to gather this far.

Season 8 is said to be a crossover between seasons one (Murder House) and three (Coven). My two favorite seasons, I might add. Characters are said to overlap and actors/actresses supposed to come back! So if this doesn’t’t excite you enough, there’s more.

All of the avid AHS fans should remember the Michael Langdon from season one and Vivian’s twin boys, one of which was a stillborn, while the other was taken from the house and raised by Constance. It was rumored at the end of season one, that Michael was to the Antichrist because in the last episode of Murder House, where Constance comes home to find that Michael had killed and possibly eaten his nanny. Season eight is said to pick up years after season one portraying Michael as an adult who has developed into an evil man.

Season three of American Horror Story explores a top secret school for witchcraft. It is rumored that cast members will be returning to season eight as their Coven characters.

Although the season has officially aired, there is still a lot of confusion on how exactly writers Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy are planning on crossing these two seasons. We do know that Evan Peters and Taissa Farminga will return to play two roles. Sarah Paulson will be back and she will be portraying three roles. They will act alongside of Dylan Mcdermott and Connie Britton from season one. Stevie Knicks, Lily Rabe, and Jessica Lange will also be returning. All of these amazing actors and actresses will return to the screen along with some new talent, Kyle Allen and Cody Fern.

All and all, it seems like American Horror Story writers are really stepping it up this season with a lot of fan favorites and some new twists. You can watch it all on FX every Wednesday night at ten PM or catch it online at fxnetworks.com. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
