5 Valentine’s Plans for All the Single Ladies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Akron chapter.

You know what they say, self love is the best love. Just because you may not have a partner to share the day with does not mean you get to celebrate any less! Here’s some way you can live your best single gal life on this Hallmark Holiday!

Head to Stay Polished Beauty and Martini Bar

Grab a friend or two and (if you are both of legal drinking age) treat yourself to some Mani’s and Martinis at Stay Polished in Fairlawn. They offer a range of services under $60 that involve Manicures, Pedicures, Hot Towels, Face masks, and so much more. What better way to feel like a classy lady than sipping on a nice drink while people wait on you (literally) hand and foot?

Munch on Malley’s Chocolate

Who doesn’t love some sweet deals on some sweet treats? Malley’s will have $5 dollars off cherry cordials during the ENTIRE month of February! And that’s not the only sale they have. You can also get chocolate covered strawberries starting on the 13th.

Veg Out on a Hallmark Movie Marathon

Do you love chick flicks? The Hallmark channel’s got you. Sick back in your comfy clothes, messy buns, and settle in. You then get to experience (vicariously) some of the most attractive, and perfect guys who know exactly what to say, and can be muted whenever you want.

Shop Until You Drop with After Sales

Let’s be honest. All the hype around Valentine’s day is wonderful and can be enjoyed, whether you have a partner or not. But nothing is better than taking advantage of all the sales that happen after Valentines day to clear stock, which you can happily wait for because you are under no pressure to buy all you goodies before/on February 14th.

So ditch the “Single Person Awareness Day” or “Un-Valentine” plans that focus on the bad parts of being single. Instead, show some of that V-Day love to yourself and have a fabulous time!
