Oftentimes, for Valentine’s Day, we think of our partners, friends, and family. However, we can’t forget the pets in our lives! Here are four ways we can share the love of this day with our little friends:

  1. Valentine’s Day Treats

If your local stores don’t offer special treats for your furry friends, you can make your own! Some simple homemade recipes for cats include: salmon and oats treats, baked tuna hearts, mashed frozen banana, and more. For your perfect little pooch, you can make peanut butter dog treats, strawberry hearts, and pumpkin / peanut butter snacks.

  1. Exercise

Most dogs love to take walks and enjoy the outdoors! My sweet little beagle, Ellie, enjoys taking in the new smells on the forest trails near my home. If you have more of an indoor dog or cat, find a way to get them moving. You can find creative ways to play games with their toys and keep them engaged! Kong toys are great puzzles for dogs and keep them busy and out of your hair!

  1. Cuddles

My dog Ellie is a snuggle bug. She loves to lay her head on my lap and curl up on my blankets. Give your pet some attention and TLC this Valentine’s Day to show your care and comfort!

  1. New Accessories

A new collar, coat, or bed would be a wonderful addition for your pet! No matter if our pet has been naughty or nice, we can’t help but spoil them with cute things that we find at the pet store!

Whatever you do for your pets for Valentine’s Day, make sure you let them know how wonderful it is for them to be a part of your life!
