HC: What is your greatest aspiration in life?

AC: To eventually be able to make strides in my community and give back to the spaces and places that shaped me into who I am today.

HC: What is the most memorable thing you’ve accomplished thus far during your time at Agnes?

AC: Probably becoming President of Witkaze.

HC: All time hair product and make-up product?

AC: Hair product, not so sure, but I live for all things makeup and I’m currently obsessed with false eyelashes.

HC: Being as real, as vain, or as honest as you want to be – what do you look for in a partner?

AC: I look for someone who is talented, charming, intellectual, and driven. Also someone who can make me laugh.

HC: Describe yourself in song lyrics.

AC: “Imma keep running cause a winner don’t quit on themselves” – Beyonce

HC: Are you creating anything special right now?

AC: Not really, just a dope life story to tell my future kids.

HC: Tell us something about you that no one knows.

AC: I come off as a social butterfly and easy to interact with others, but lots of people actually make me very anxious.

HC: What brought you to Agnes and what kept you here?

AC: Honestly, I wanted to go to Spelman College. But Agnes had better financial aid and for my family, it was wherever gave me the most money. That also kept me here too.

HC: Who/What/Where influences your style?

AC: I really love looking at fashion pages on instagram and getting inspo. But I feel like however my hair is at the moment, that’s what influences how I dress. It’s just all collaborative and also depends on my mood. I like trying new looks.

HC: What is the first thing that you do when you wake up?

AC: Check my phone of course.

HC: At any given time, where are you most likely to be found on campus?

AC: My room or Alston.

HC: How would you change the world?

AC: I want to change the world by making it a safer place for people of color and marginalized groups. I don’t know how, but I know for me, my biggest interest is educational reform and changing the way how our school systems (and many other systems) are counterproductive and disadvantage people of color, especially African Americans.

HC: If you could offer your mom one thing in the world (besides wealth), what would it be?

AC: I can’t even answer this. My mom deserves the world, the moon, and the stars. I really appreciate all that she’s done for me the past 20 years and I could never repay her
