With summer break upon us, it is hard to believe that another semester has come and gone. Although a lot of us will either be interning or working, three months off is plenty of time to have new adventures. My boyfriend and I decided to create a “Summer Date Bucket List” with exciting and new ideas to make the most of our time off together. From the beach to the streets of New York City, we have got you covered. Check out a few of these fun date ideas below!
Beach Sunset Picnic
You + Food= Cute Date! Grab a couple of sandwiches and head down to the beach to watch a beautiful sunset together. Not only is this romantic, but will allow you and your date to have some peace and quiet you would not get at a restaurant on a Saturday night.
Empire State Building
Re-create your own Sleepless in Seattle moment by having a date at the top of the Empire State Building. Just imagine the breathtaking view you will have of New York City! After all, it is the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Tom Hanks approves of this message.
Museum of Sex
The Museum of Sex, also known as MoSex, is a fun date idea if you’re not too shy to show off your naughty side! Stoke your partner’s hottest fantasies by perusing through exotic exhibits and don’t forget to take a jump in the Booby-Bounce house (yes, you read that correctly). Weekend Getaway
Even if it’s just for a night or two, there is nothing more exciting than exploring a new city together. Amtrak allows for easy transportation to numerous destinations in North America. Cities like Boston and Washington, D.C. have countless museums and sites that allow for flexibility with your itinerary schedule. And the best part of the entire trip? Heading back to the hotel for room service!
Skydiving or Ziplining
Looking to show off your inner daredevil? Well, skydiving is definitely one way. So if you take joy in the thought of pushing your date out of a plane and watching their reaction… you have my blessing. If asking for a death wish is not your thing, a simple yet adventurous alternative is ziplining. There is a better chance of you touching ground safely with this one!
From relaxing on the beach to sightseeing at the top of a historic building, a date can be whatever or wherever your heart desires. What matters most is the special person you have beside you to experience new things. Now that you and your date have a few ideas in mind, you’ll be able to make the most out of your summer break!
