Underrated Movies You Need To See

There are so many movies out there and a large majority of us, myself included, tend to watch the same movies over and over again. However, there are some great movies out there that you are seriously missing out on! I am here to show you what you are missing.

1.The Road to El Dorado (2000)

If you ever have a chance to watch this... DO IT! This is not only a fantastic movie but it also has some killer songs that are sung by Elton John! You have two funny friends who always get themselves into some sort of trouble, off to find the city of gold…. El Dorado! There are so many funny jokes as well as some inappropriate jokes for those of you with a dirtier mind. It is a cartoon and is perfect for kids, so go ahead and put it on for a family movie night! You’re able to find this one on Hulu!

2. Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)

This one is a bit more popular compare to The Road to El Dorado but I find still it very underrated. Growing up I loved this movie; I recently rediscovered it and I'm so happy I did! Follow Milo’s adventure to discover the lost city of Atlantis with awesome, hilarious characters, this will work its way into your heart too. Not to mention Michael J. Fox voices Milo! You can find this one on Netflix!

3. Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)

Don’t worry this list is not all cartoons! Now this is one underrated movie. Not a single person I know knows of this movie and it’s a shame. It is a hilarious movie all about a small town beauty pageant that takes a deadly turn. With quite the cast featuring, Kirsten Dunst, Allison Janney, Denise RIchards, Kirstie Alley, Brittany Murphy, and Amy Adams, you know you are in for a great time.

4. Clue (1985)

You have heard of the board game but I know only a few people who have seen, or even heard, of the movie! I remember in high school, my teacher in my genetics class showed this movie before break and I was thrilled, but not a single person in my class knew about it. With all your favorite characters from the original board game, they act out the game! Mr. Boddy has been killed and one of them did it! But, they all have a motive because Mr. Boddy had been blackmailing them all with secrets that he had dug up. Whodunnit? You’ll have to watch to find out!

5. Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997)

Love Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe from Friends)? Well here is more of her acting! These two best friends hit the road to go to their 10 year high school reunion and try to create elaborate stories to impress their classmates. Being made fun of in high school is never easy but will they get away with these made up lives? You can watch this on Hulu!

I hope this list helps you start to get you out of your movie comfort zone and give something new a shot! There is a large, large list of movies out there that you have not seen and it is about time to step outside the box and give it a go, my friends! Wishing you the best and happy movie watching!
