Spring has sprung, and the weather is finally getting warmer here on Long Island. This can only mean one thing: it’s sundress season! Since your poor little legs have been stuffed up and shivering in pants all winter, why not give them a little love and show them off to the beautiful sunshine? We all love sundresses because they’re so fashionable yet so comfortable and effortless. With so many different types of sundresses to choose from, how do you know which one is perfect for you?  No matter what style you rock—bohemian, print-crazy, minimalist, tomboy—there’s a sundress out there waiting to set your legs free. This guide will help you get one step closer to saying “Yes!” to your dream sundress.

This is for you Bohemian ladies! Since you can’t wait to let your wavy hair down and throw on those flip flops, try on something like the Lace Dress while you’re at it, found at H&M

The lace is prominent but not overwhelming. It’s subtle and simple so you can add plenty of braided headbands, pendants and rings to finish off your look.

Or if you’re feeling a little flirtier, take a look at this Urban Outfitters dress.

This sundress features the ever-popular elephant pattern in red. It’s just begging to be paired with long, wavy hair with a middle part!

For our more conservative Boho ladies, something like this from Forever 21 would be a great choice: http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=dress&ProductID=2000070775&VariantID=

You have the high neck and long sleeves, but you won’t be too overheated in the spring sun because of the split sleeve letting in the nice cool breeze.

This next set of dresses is for “the girl next door,”: sweet, simple, and super cute! If floral brings out your sweet side, this Forever 21 dress is the one for you: http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=dress&ProductID=2000062942&VariantID=

It’s a comfy and loose fit featuring a beautiful floral print—super easy to throw on in the morning with your hair in a bun and some mascara!

Love the prints but not feeling floral? Paisley is a great alternative. This piece has a beautiful mix of cream and black with elegant lace at the bottom:

Leaning toward the simpler side of “the girl next door” style? This dress from Urban Outfitters does just that: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=31506835&parentid=W_APP_DRESSES

The 3 dresses featured above are incredibly delicate and beautiful. They’re simple but still interesting enough to stand on their own! They’re even easy to wear over a bikini on your way to the beach when the weather gets hotter. But for now, you can easily throw on a crocheted cardigan and still keep the integrity of these dainty pieces.

Next, the “girl next door” style gets a sassy twist for our country girls! You don’t have to be from the country to rock these looks. We all have those days where we channel our inner farm girl! This denim dress from H&M is a great choice for that: http://www.hm.com/us/product/24006?article=24006-A

While it falls right into the big denim dress and shirt trend, this dress is also durable and comfortable. You can even unbutton the buttons in the front to put a cute tank top underneath and let loose a little.

This sunflower sundress from Urban Outfitters is another great choice: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=30920243&parentid=W_APP_DRESSES&color=009

This sundress looks beautiful and country enough on its own, but you can even add to it by putting a nice dark wash denim shirt over it! Pair it with your cowgirl boots, and you’re ready to go.

We’ve got out sweet, country and Bohemian ladies, but what if you’re one of those girls who shoot first, and ask questions later? Yes, our tough girls! You don’t need dainty lace or floral holding you back. The attitude exuding from your body would tear them to shreds! Not to worry: there are many worthy choices out there that’ll win you over. Exhibit A: http://www.hm.com/us/product/26062?article=26062-A

This H&M dress screams tough. With the camp pattern and muscle tee cut top, no one’s messing with you. Pair this with some spiked jewelry and your favorite pair of combat boots, and you’re ready for battle. The shape of this baby doll dress adds a touch of flirtation, but still shows guys that they can’t mess with you. With the tough leather laced up side, you’re the one in control—subtle yet effective.

Another great choice would be this Forever 21 dress: http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=dress&ProductID=2000074574&VariantID=

color:#222222″>Overalls have made a comeback! This is a great twist on the normal innocent, juvenile overalls. The black and white stripes command your attention. You can be tough while still looking trendy!

color:#222222″>Now onto our minimalists! I personally recommend this H&M dress as a gorgeous choice: http://www.hm.com/us/product/27340?article=27340-A

The dress has light fabric that you can dress up or down! It’s a great standalone piece, or you can add some simple jewelry while still keeping it clean and minimal.

Feeling a little sexy? Try this one from Urban Outfitters: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=31630908&parentid=W_APP_DRESSES

Still very minimal but super flirtatious. It’s made of a great material with a simple yet sophisticated cut. Again, it’s a great piece that you can easily dress up or down or leave alone and still look fabulous.

Going back to prints, we can’t forget our cool modern girls! These geometric prints are too much for some girls to handle, but not you ladies! If you’re just testing the waters of this trend, this H&M dress is a great choice:http://www.hm.com/us/product/22045?article=22045-A#article=22045-A

It still has the all-around geometric print, but the black and white keeps it understated. Not only that, but isn’t that the comfiest looking dress you’ve ever seen? Perfect!

Another simpler choice is this piece from H&M: http://www.hm.com/us/product/21425?article=21425-F.

Another comfy loose fit—this time a bit brighter!

Easing our way up there to full blown Geo Girl: http://www.shopmixology.com/collections/dresses/products/gab-kate-aztec-scenario-dress

While this Mixology dress has a different shape than the first two dresses, it’s still comfy and flattering while featuring a bolder pattern and an open back. Perfect for a day at the beach, or add a cardigan and go to the park!

So there you go, ladies: a dress for everyone! What if you don’t fit into just one category? That’s okay! Try them all! What’s most important is that you feel great in what you’re wearing. Express yourself, love yourself, and give those legs some well-deserved sun!
