Nowadays it’s difficult to go to the movies and not see a film the Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (not that this is a bad thing). Now sure, some people may not like Dwayne, but I don’t see how that possible. Not only is he a phenomenal actor, and one of the most versatile of our time, but he is also such a wonderful and kind person.
Let’s start with the most obvious thing about The Rock, his movies. This past December, a new take on the 1995 classic Jumanji came out. This movie was HILARIOUS with killer stars like Nick Jonas, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and of course Dwayne Johnson. In this comedy, The Rock plays the oh-so handsome Dr. Smolder Bravestone (and yes, he has a killer smolder both on and off screen). The Rock is the main hero in the story line, but the movie shows you that you must work together to solve your problems.
Of course, we cannot have an article on Dwayne Johnson and not include his latest adventure in Disney, Moana! I mean…..The Rock….. Singing?! *swoons* The whole movie is absolutely amazing and is a film for all ages but the Rock absolutely kills it in Moana.
I jam out to “You’re Welcome” every single time it comes, not just because it’s The Rock but because it is such a fun song!
Not only is he a fantastic actor, he is also very kind hearted and has actually helped families get a surprise from their family member who is in the armed forces. Watching these videos always brings a tear to my eye and it amazes me that someone with so much fame would take the time to help bring families together. Check out one of the videos of The Rock bringing together one of Jimmy Fallon’s producers, who is a veteran, with her husband who was deployed overseas. *Warning: you will probably cry*
The Rock not only helped reunite families, but also hosted an event called “Rock The Troops” in 2016 as a 75th Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor and the event was even shot in Hawaii!
Lastly, it’s pretty hard to miss how handsome Mr. Johnson is and he is only getting better with age! He’s funny, kind-hearted, original and all around a amazing guy. How could you not love him?! Be on the lookout for his next movie, Rampage being released April 20, 2018! Check out the trailer here!
