Reasons To Keep An Eye On Upcoming Girl Group: Boys World

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Adelphi chapter.

In April 2019, life changed for Olivia, Elana, Makhyli, Queenie, and Lillian. That’s when these girls took the huge step of moving to Los Angeles, California. The reason: an independent label discovered them and picked them to be in a girl group together. From that point on, they would live and work together, polishing their dancing and vocals while having studio sessions and developing a friendship.

The girls decided to name their group Boys World. The “Boys” part of their name is an acronym for “Best of Yourself.” I got into Boys World through one of the members, Elana! Elana went to my high school. With Elana going to the same high school as me, I followed her on Instagram. This was how I got introduced and to checking out Boys World on social media.

The first cover of theirs that I checked out is their cover of “Bye, Bye, Bye” by N’Sync. Immediately, I was taken aback by their impressive vocals. As I kept on watching more of their videos and seeing more of their social media posts, I became more drawn to them. Their bond won me over. That being said, here are reasons you are going to want to keep your eye on Boys World.

They have heavenly vocals

While they have not released any original music yet (their first song is coming this fall!), you can check out their heavenly vocals through some of their covers on their YouTube channel. Each girl has a unique voice, but the magic happens when they harmonize. They put so many twists on their covers that the final product always comes out sounding like an original song.

Their dancing is immaculate

Do you ever get so impressed after watching a video of dancers go off? Well, the same thing will happen when you watch the girls of Boys World dance. Their dancing will make you want to watch their dance routines numerous times and learn to master it yourself.

They care about social issues

They attended a police brutality protest in the wake of George Floyd’s death. They even held a livestream to raise money for The Bail Project and created an Instagram highlight to show their fans how they could take part in making a difference in our world. They use their platform to raise awareness about social issues and inspire their fans to get involved as well.

They are uplifting

The girls of Boys World uplift each other and their fans-I mean, it is obvious in the “Boys” part of their name. In an Instagram post from early 2020, they announced that being a part of Boys World meant being the best of themselves and helping their fans become the best of their selves. It’s an inspiring and inclusive message for everyone.

Hopefully, these reasons got you interested in Boys World. After reading this sentence, you should be thinking about what platform you’ll visit Boys World on first. Hopefully, you’ll be able to appreciate their music and message like I do. Make sure you tell everyone you know about Boys World!
