This week on Her Campus Adelphi, we are guiding you on how to become a better person. Now I expect all of our readers to be lovely people but in honor of “Adelphi Gives Back”, I think we should take the extra step to lend a hand this month. Here are some community service opportunities that are local and would love our help!
The Garden City Bird Sanctuary
The Bird Sanctuary has a whole page dedicated to volunteering. There’s many opportunities and a spot for everybody. They’re looking for gardeners, artists, carpenters, and researchers. Also college students are welcome to lend a hand wherever necessary. Check them out here – http://www.gcbirdsanctuary.org/volunteering
