As the end of the semester creeps up, Adelphi’s Student Activities Board has made it a priority to end the year with a number of exciting events. Following the Spring Concert featuring upcoming artists D-limitz (look out for the popular student group!), TimeFlies and headliner Jason Derulo, as a celebration of the first spring weekend stars from the MTV2 hit show Girl Code and Guy Code visited to provide students with a night of hilarious entertainment. Laianna Wright, a freshman student, was ecstatic when she got the opportunity to meet her heartthrob Jermaine Fowler from Guy Code.

The two giggled as they posed for picture as Jermaine jokingly asked, “Do we look like a couple?” before the snapshot. Laianna told us, “I love when Adelphi can provide entertainment in various forms whether it be pop music or comedy. I thought the people in the audience tonight got a taste of who the cast really were and we got to see them in their natural environment of doing standup comedy as opposed to sitting down and giving funny answers to questions on a television show. It was awesome watching them in that element.”

Students were able to get in on this night of laughter through purchasing tickets for both themselves and the other guests at the Panthertainment Booth. That’s the great thing about campus events: they are open to the public as well! So don’t be afraid to bring some outside friends to the nights of fun!
