10 Little Adelphi Things to be Thankful For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Adelphi chapter.

With the busy holidays around the corner, it’s always great to take a moment to appreciate the little things in life. At Adelphi University, little things like finding a parking spot five minutes before class begins can easily make rushed mornings a lot better.

It’s November, midterms are finally over and while we desperately wait for Thanksgiving break to arrive, we confide in pumpkin lattes and bury our face in our laptops. With the endless amount of assignments and exams we receive, it can be easy to forget the little things that can put a smile on our faces.

At Adelphi, having to wait in line for Starbucks can be as painful as having to wait in line at the University Center to pay for one item.  While we may dread eating on campus everyday, having no line at the wrap-it-up station is something to be definitely thankful for.

Here are some more little things to be thankful for at Adelphi:

1.     Not having to wait at the financial aid office.

2.    Finding a parking spot that is close to your class.

3.    Six dollars movie ticket for AMC theaters.

4.    Free 10 minute massages in the UC during finals.

5.    Finding an open computer at the commuter lounge to print your assignments.

6.    Having no line at the Starbucks station.

7.    The hopping bunnies everywhere.

8.    Family weekend.

9.    Having an entire month or so for winter break. Thank you, college!

10.  Having great services such as the career, learning or writing center.

So remember when anything that is mentioned above happens, be appreciative and take advantage of it. Also, with Thanksgiving around the corner it is good to be thankful for attending a college that provides these little things and more.
