It’s time to make some noise

June is usually that special time of year when summer heat, extremely gay things, and big parties come together for one epic celebration: Pride.

Historically, Pride is a time to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, and recognize the impact of LGBTQ individuals both in history and today. Except for the first time in their 50 year history, Pride events all over the nation have been postponed, or even canceled. Ultimately, health and safety are a priority (especially given disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on queer and trans people). But what does that mean for those who usually come together every summer and celebrate all it means to be LGBTQ? Below is everything you need to reinvent Pride 2020, including resources to access, ideas to celebrate at home, and more. And remember that donating your time and money, attending a virtual celebration, and lifting up the LGBTQ folks in your life is just as impactful as marching through the street with a rainbow flag.
