7 of the Most Ridiculous Things Said at the Third Presidential Debate

As the third and final (thank goodness) presidential debate comes to a close, let’s all reflect together on the amount of wine we may or may not have drank. Okay, now continue reading. This evening, whether it was on the topic of abortion or Aleppo, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were tasked with proving to the American people that they are the right choice for President once and for all. But unfortunately, most the night was spent bickering like little children, just like all the other debates. Here are the seven most LOL things that were said tonight—and spoiler alert, The Donald is responsible for a good chunk of these.

1. Trump saying we have some “bad hombres” here

When discussing what regulations he would put on immigration in the U.S., Trump said that there are many people he wants to deport. When describing these people, he said that he believes we have some “bad hombres” in this country. Well, safe to say that people were not happy with this racist comment—just “men” in Spanish, but really not necessary in this context.

2. Trump calling Clinton a puppet

There’ve been many moments during the election where Trump has denied having any relationship with Russia, but tonight most definitely was his best rhetoric.

Trump: “Look, Putin, from everything I see, has no respect for this person.”

Clinton: “Well, that’s because he’d rather have a puppet for president than the United States and it’s pretty clear.”

Trump: “No puppet. You’re the puppet.”

Okay, Donald.

3. Trump repeating that no one has more respect for women than he does

This is not the first time, nor, it seems, will it be the last time, that Donald Trump has claimed to have more respect for women than anyone else in the world. Just gonna leave this here.

4. And THEN Trump saying that his sexual abuse allegations have been “largely debunked”

After a 2005 tape was released in which Trump boasted about being able to “grab women by the pussy” two weeks ago, multiple women have come forward saying that this is exactly what Trump did to them. When asked about these claims during the debate, Trump said that “those stories have been largely debunked,” and are completely false. He even went on to claim that it was Clinton’s campaign that launched these rumors. When asked about why these women would lie, he said, “I think they want either fame or her campaign did it…I think she got these people to step forward.”

5. Trump saying he didn’t even apologize to his wife about the sexual assault claims, because he didn’t do anything wrong

Whether it’s crude comments or sexual assault, there are many things that Trump really should apologize for. But you won’t hear that from him. During tonight’s debate, he said that he has not apologized to his wife, Melania, after at least nine women came forward to accuse him of sexual assault. “I didn’t even apologize to my wife because I didn’t do anything,” Trump said. Well, according to Melania, he actually did apologize. In an interview with Anderson Cooper this week, Melania said that “Those words, they were offensive to me and they were inappropriate,” following up with, “he apologized to me. And I accept his apology. And we are moving on.” Woop, there it is.

6. Trump telling Hillary Clinton not to interrupt him

THIS. IS. THE. DEFINITION. OF. MANSPLAINING. Bye.

7. And Trump refusing to say he will accept the results of this election

Not sure if this is important or anything but, shouldn’t the potential next President of the United States have faith in the United States government and the electoral process? Just a thought…

Thanks for the entertainment, Trump, but this is our country you are talking about, not your next reality TV show.
