Where Are They Now?: Disney Channel Stars

Ever wondered where your favorite childhood star is now? Remember those stars and faces on Disney Channel that you thought you would see for the rest of your life? We’re here to remind you of some of the greatest names of our childhood and update you on their lives since their Disney Channel series ended.

Lizzie McGuire

Hilary Duff

Lizzie? Isabella? Nope, it’s Mama Duff! Hilary Duff has added singer, author, designer, entrepreneur, wife of Mike Comrie, and mother to Luca Cruz Comrie earlier this year to her list of jobs since Lizzie McGuire. Duff’s vocals may be streaming the airwaves of pop radio once again. In January 2012, the mom confirmed she was recording, but a release date has not been set.

Lalaine

Maybe if I say Miranda Sanchez, it’ll ring a bell. Lalaine first returned to headlines when she was arrested in 2007 for crystal meth. She began pursuing a musical career in 2009. In the mean time, she has played minor cameo roles like being the “gossipy girl” in Easy A.

Adam Lamberg

Adam Lamberg – or should we say Gordo – hasn’t acted professionally since 2008, but he did graduate from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in geography. Good for him!

That’s So Raven

Raven-Symoné

After making adorable comebacks on The Cosby Show then seeing the future on That’s So Raven, the 26-year-old actress just finished her Broadway debut in a lead role in Sister Act in August 2012. She has said that she may release a new album later in life when she feels it’s right. Now that’s so completely Raven!

Anneliese van der Pol

After lending her beauty and vocals to Belle in Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast, Anneliese van der Pol, who played Chelsea in That’s So Raven, played Jennifer in Vampires Suck, a spoof of the Twilight series. Since, she has returned briefly to Disney Channel as a guest star on Shake It Up. Van der Pol has most recently been involved in theater performances.

Orlando Brown

Orlando Brown, better known as Eddie from That’s So Raven, splashed into headlines again when he was arrested for a DUI in August 2011. He is set to make his grand return to TV and film in 2012 with The Maul, We The Party and TV Series The End.

Even Stevens

Shia LaBeouf

Following Even Stevens, LaBeouf made his film debut in Holes and his career has taken off ever since. Today, he is best known for his role as Sam Witwicky in the Transformers film series. Upcoming movies include The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman and The Nymphomaniac.

Christy Carlson Romano

Since Even Stevens and Kim Possible, Romano has lent her voice to other characters in Kingdom Hearts and Family Guy. Like other Disney Channel alum, she experienced Broadway, playing Belle during a 31-week run of Beauty and the Beast. Her most recent works are from 2011, like Loosies and Infected, following a string of ABC Family movies.

Margo Harshman

Remember Tawny Dean, one of Louis’s best friends (and his girlfriend)? Now, you can catch her on The Big Bang Theory as Alex Jensen, Dr. Sheldon Cooper’s assistant. Harshman is currently playing Sophie Sheridan in a national tour of Mamma Mia.

A.J. Trauth

Although best known for playing Twitty, Trauth has been working hard with his band, Mavin, whose music is available on iTunes. Since Disney Channel, he has moved on to guest star on shows on CBS and Fox. His most recent appearances dates to 2009 in Bones.

Boy Meets World

Ben Savage

Now who would have thought Cory Matthews would graduate from Stanford! Savage most recently appeared in an episode of Bones in 2011, but has more on his resume than just acting. He also interned for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter during his college days.

Rider Strong

You think Cory Matthews attending Stanford is weird? What about Shawn Hunter going to Columbia University? And graduating magna cum laude? Well, it’s true! Since Boy Meets World, Strong has also become a screenwriter, director and producer. You may have seen him in 2010 in The Penthouse or Your Lucky Day.

Danielle Fishel

America’s girl next door appeared in a few films like National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze following Boy Meets World. She was temporarily the spokesperson for NutriSystem. You can now catch Topanga sharing knowledge as the host of Last Night on TV on MSN TV.
