Starbucks’ New Spring Drink Is The Perfect Study Break Companion

I don’t know about you, but for me, nothing makes a mid-afternoon slump better quite like a Starbucks drink. And if you’re a cold brew girlie — or someone who wants to get into nitro cold brew — Starbucks’ new spring drink, the Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew that was introduced on March 7, is going to be perfect for you.

Yep, that’s right: This drink swirls cinnamon and caramel flavors into the classic Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew, then tops it off with a brand-new cinnamon sweet cream cold foam and a dusting of cinnamon dolce topping to boot. If you love bakery treats and can’t handle super-bitter coffee, this is a great drink to try — the taste is sweet without being overpowering. The drink is also served without ice, meaning that you get to taste the cold foam in every sip. The best part? You’ll be able to enjoy it year-round.

Just take it from the experts themselves: “Taking inspiration from salted caramels and gooey sticky buns, the new Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew is a lovely balance of decadent baking flavors with a delicate and creamy cold foam topping that seamlessly blends into the coffee with each sip,” says Erin Marinan, Starbucks beverage developer. “This velvety smooth Nitro Cold Brew provides customers with a fresh take on the fan-favorite caramel flavor.”

The best part is that if cold brew still isn’t your thing, you can still experiment with the brand new cinnamon sweet cream cold foam by ordering it with other drinks. Try it out with the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, Iced White Chocolate Mocha, or Iced Chai Tea Latte for some new and exciting flavor combinations — I’m sure I’ll be seeing this cold foam popping up in a bunch of Starbucks secret menu drinks in no time.

The Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew comes in addition to a few other Starbucks spring announcements. First, the Starbucks Anniversary Blend is making a comeback, along with two Starbucks reserve coffees: Starbucks Reserve Guatemala Lake Atitlán and Starbucks Reserve Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelelektu. These will only be available for a limited time at select Starbucks stores and Starbucks Reserve locations.

There’s also new spring Starbucks merch to get excited about. Just check out the bright colors on this spring-inspired drinkware, which includes cold cups, tumblers, mugs, and water bottles. Who wouldn’t be jealous of you if you walked around campus with one of these beautiful gradient tumblers?

Starbucks is ready for spring, and you should be too, besties. If you need a study break and a sweet treat, head to your local Starbucks to try out the new Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew. I know that’s what I’ll be doing.
