Who is ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with some donuts? Krispy Kreme dyed the original glazed donuts green again for a limited time, and it’s the sweetest deal of the holiday.
All this weekend—March 15th to the 17th—the popular donut will be transformed into the O’riginal Glazed donuts at Krispy Kreme locations around the country. According to Delish, the donuts aren’t just made with a layer of green frosting. It’s actually made from a green dough and coated in the sugary, delicious glaze that we all love.
To further celebrate the holiday, Krispy Kreme is also giving away free donuts for a year to some lucky winners.
“Come in for the Green O’riginal Glazed doughnuts and a chance to WIN GOLD,” the website said. “Lucky winners across the nation will win a Golden Dozen Pass—So head to one of the participating locations below for your chance to win one dozen Original Glazed ® doughnuts per month for a year.”
Yes, you read that right. A WHOLE YEAR OF FREE DONUTS! Specifically, it’s one dozen per month until St. Patrick’s Day 2020.
This isn’t the first time that the franchise brought out the green donuts, and Twitter fans are incredibly excited to see them return.
