Jennifer Aniston is having a memorable week. Not only is she busy promoting her new movie, Wanderlust, costarring Paul Rudd, but she also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday.
Accompanied by her boyfriend, Justin Theroux, and her father, Aniston was all smiles, clearly appreciating and enjoying the moment. When it came time for her to speak, Aniston explained, “I was born in Sherman Oaks, California. I am a California girl through and through. And I’m sure this has always sort of been in the back of my mind. It probably wasn’t even a dream. It was one of my wildest dreams.”
It is impossible to deny Aniston’s success. Beyond having an impressive filmography, her natural beauty, famous hair, amazing body, and girl-next-door vibe have done her well from her early days as Rachel Green in the hit 1990s sitcom Friends to her hilarious character in last year’s Horrible Bosses. We are surprised that it has taken this long for her to be given a star.
And for all you Friends fanatics out there, the popular 90s show did come up in interviews after the ceremony on Wednesday. None of Aniston’s co-stars were present, but Aniston did tell MTV that she can’t imagine there being a Friends reunion, especially on the big screen. “Friends is in your living room; Friends is not in a movie theater. It doesn’t make sense to me. I think it would be going against its authentic self.” However, Aniston did tell The Hollywood Reporter that Ross and Rachel would be “100% together” if the show were still on the air today.
