You Need To Try These 6 Grade Calculators For Finals Week

You’ve pushed through the semester, giving it your best. Now there’s only one thing standing between you and all the holiday cheer: finals week. ‘Tis the season for late-night study sessions, an endless caffeine supply, and last-minute cramming to learn that entire unit before your final. For some students, finals week may also bring added pressure and anxiety about grades. Mix the inevitable all-nighters with that anxiety about failing the course, and the search for final grade calculators, and these last few weeks of school can begin to feel immensely overwhelming.

But don’t stress! If you’re worried about your final grades and want to figure out what score you need on your final to finish the semester strong, look no further. I’ve rounded up six final grade calculators you can try this finals week so you can focus on studying smarter, not harder.

Omni Calculator

The Omni final grade calculator allows you to use previous grades or your current grade to calculate how much you’ll need to score on your final exam. This final grade calculator also factors in the different types of grading systems that colleges may use, so your calculations are more accurate to the system you use.

The Grade Calculator by Ben Eggleston

Created by a professor at the University of Kansas, this grade calculator allows you to input all the assessments you’ve completed for the semester along with their grade and weighted percentages. Finally, you will be prompted to fill in your desired overall average on any remaining assignments. Once the calculator runs, it’ll give you the estimated average you need to receive on any remaining assessments for the semester.

RapidTable Grade Calculator

The RapidTable grade calculator features tabs for calculating final grades and cumulative GPAs. The grade calculator tab and final grade tab are essentially the same thing, except the grade calculator goes more in-depth with the numbers. It allows you to input all the grades you’ve received this semester along with their weighted percentage. After you enter your desired final average, the calculator runs and shows you the grade you need on your final. On the other hand, the final grade tab simply requires your current grade, target grade, and final exam weight to run the calculation.

College GPA Calculator

If you want to determine your semester’s GPA and cumulative GPA at the end of this semester, this College GPA Calculator can help. Calculating your GPA at the end of each semester and keeping a record of it can also help you stay on top of any longer-term goals or academic requirements.

Final Grade Calculator

This final grade calculator is one of the most straightforward calculators out there and is similar to the final-grade tab on RapidTable. Simply enter your current grade, the overall target grade you want, and how much your final grade is weighted, and it’ll calculate how much you need to get on your final to achieve your desired target grade.

Notion Grade Template

If you’re a Notion girlie like me, this grade calculator template is the perfect addition to your Notion workspace. It’ll allow you to keep your calculations in one place along with your notes so you’ll always be able to reference it. This Notion template also allows you to factor in any late penalties in the calculations. If you need to modify the template, Notion provides a breakdown of the formulas so you can adjust it. The free template is available in Notion’s template gallery.
